The Return of "The Big O"? Show up September 20th and Find Out By Gayle Lynn Falkenthal, APR Here's a moment that earned legendary SDPC status: Fox6 news director Al Pando defended his sweep week series about ³The Big O² to an astonished NBC San Diego news director Jim Sanders. Happily, Pando did it in front of a big Press Club audience packed into the Fox studios for our ever popular ³What's New in the Newsroom?² news directors' forum. It's been far too long since we had that kind of fun, so we're bringing our infamous forum back on Wednesday, September 20th, at 6:30 p.m. We've got a whole new roster of San Diego news directors to put on the spot, and a brand new spot for the event: the auditorium of AMN Healthcare, located at 12400 High Bluff Drive, San Diego (just off Del Mar Heights Road and I-5). Fox6 Morning News host Marc Bailey will serve as moderator. His boss, Fox6 news director Tauna Lange, along with news directors Michael Marcotte of KPBS-FM, Craig Hume of KUSI, Fred D'Ambrosi of KFMB, and program director of Cliff Albert of KOGO/KLSD Radio are on the hook to appear. To reserve your seat, email sdpressclub@cox.net, or call 619-231-4340. Posted Sept. 2006 |
